Nice one guys! Speaking of D.M.S.R., I have a great live version from a 2004 Fillmore aftershow up on my site.

WOW.
I thought this was a cool review. I want to say thanks so much for all your hard work may you keep it up.
One thing though, I think Delirious is a very good track like a racey little ditty you can rock your shoulders to, I mean especially when it was given to us on The Vibe show with sinbad back in 1998.
Well thanks again guys and keep up the good work.
Great podcast as always guys.
You might want to lay off the beer when doing it in future though. lol
When we get to the later albums ‘beer’ is gonna get me threw them. LOL

Keep It Up!!!
“1999″ is the “Sgt. Pepper” of our generation. Period.
There is so much of it in “pop” and “r&b” music since it’s release (including that noise Justin put out) that it has to be one of the most influential records of all time. So many people got PAID by ripping off this album — holla back, Phil Collins — it’s not funny.
My man Tobias is drunk for hating on “Delirious.” It’s so closely related to “Let’s Go Crazy” it’s amazing… and Prince starts it with SLEIGHBELLS over a Stray Cats beat! wtf?
Last point: to really hear why “1999″ needs to be remastered, listen to “D.M.S.R.” and then check out how “Automatic” comes behind it — LOW AS HELL! And that song thumps on vinyl. “1999″ needs to be remastered and repackaged with the *full artwork* by Warner.
Oh, I have a theory as to why “D.M.S.R.” was left off the original CD release. The “Risky Business” soundtrack contained that song. So, there was a CD version available, and I think it was released on Virgin (Warner subsidiary). But, you know, it was probably some cat in an office who liked “Let’s Pretend We’re Married” better.
Thanks for these podcasts, I’ve listened to this one five or six times already. It’s good to have them back.

Haha MIke you have me rollin’ during the review of “International Lover.” LOL
P.S. He performed “All The Critics” at one of the Celebrations. I haven’t heard it since then. He killed it though. You’ll remember him telling Renato to slow down. haha
