Recap of 2006 and a lot of laughs.
I had some audio problems, so you’ll hear a few funny skips from time to time, but nothing to crazy.

Great to hear the update. Lookin forward to more. Good to know that everything is going will with you. you new co-host, she’s cool, man. Nice chemistry with y’all.
Oh, and I dug that Billy moment at the end…
Man, real quick, I saw Prince for the first time (been a fan since the early 1999 days as in 1982-3 and I finally saw him on the Hit and Run tour in L.A. (Hollywwod, at the Palladium). So I’m waitin in line, I wasn’t a part of any NPGMC or anything so I had no chance of getting in early. It was about 8:00 p.m., getting chilly and the folks around are all cool and talking P and such. When suddenly you hear this guy come around, mother fuckin this and “let’s get the fuck on” that!!! It was crazy, he was like, all those who are members of the music club let’s get the fuck on motherfuckers. Who was it?!?! Billy! no shit, man, it was Billy. It was nuts and I loved it. Folks from the club came out o the line and went in first. The rest of us were like, damn, that was billy huh?
Good times….good times.
Anyhow, good to hear y’all back and I’ll be tuning in for more. Peace!
Oh, and thanks for the mention on the podcast. I had to have been a pain and I knew I’d be on there at some time.
‘Bout time. I’m glad you guys are back. I love this podcast and hope you can get it out at least monthly. You guys seemed to have a good time.
I’ve got to say, about 3121 and some of the other recent albums - it seems to me like early Prince albums were like novels. You could start at track one, play the album through the last track, and it was like a story. There was a flow from song to song that felt organic. Most of the albums after he left Warner don’t really have that (Rainbow children does, which is why it’s slammin). Rave, New Power Soul, and 3121 all sound like a bunch of songs thrown together, like a Prince mix tape or something.
Anyway, hope to hear you in a couple weeks.

I love the new co-host. She’s got a smooth voice that’s easy on the ears, knows her Prince, and the two of you have great chemistry. You had me rolling! Looking forward to hearing more as 2007 pushes on!
3121 came off to me as choppy and almost “thrown together at the last minute.” but hey it’s Prince so it can’t be too bad!
Mike’s back - finally the new year can begin! I like Monique (?) already, she’s got some pretty good and interesting comments and I agree on your chemistry and all, BUT I miss Tobias as well. What happend to him?

Yes, it’s not in the top 5 of all time, but compared the othe stuff his been doing recently, this album’s got some seroius funky groove to it! Something I’ve missed since… well… the Black Album - the track 3121 and Le Grind are kinda familiar!?
One of my friends went all the way from Denmark to Vegas for a 2-night concart and aftershows - he was ecstatic when he got back home. Not only did he attend a 70 prs. only aftershow, he was onstage dancing solo for a couple of minutes AND singing background when P did “Play that funky music”. Dang, wish I was in Vegas, but I agree that the prices are way to high.
One other thing, am I the only one that can hear a difference in the audio quality of the podcast!? It sounds like you guys are fading in and out and there’s some static noise in the background…
Again, it’s great to have you back and I hope you’ll keep your “monthly promise”.

Sup. Yes there was some audio issues with the last show. They have been fixed. So the next one will be in the pocket.
Tobias will return when he can. He’s busy with work and things.
Monique is great! believe it or not I just met her for the 1st time (in person) when we recorded that show.
