BUT it’s still just a “sample” to me and not a real album even though I know you all might disagree. SOTT will always be my first album pick - and I would say Dirty Mind is the sexy, nasty, “wow-I-didn’t-know-he-could-sing-like-this!?” runner-up

Some of you mentioned Lovesexy, which I strongly disagree upon based on the simple fact that it’s a one-song album (you know what I mean) and that would make any non-Prince fan go nuts.

Also, thanks for the shout out - and shout out from Sunny Copenhagen to all you “true soldiers”. See you on the Forum and bring some new mini-soldiers if possible

just kidding. seriously, its good to hear another podcast up. I think your comments reflect mine made in the forum. Hoewever i dont think i can let u have ‘ultimate’ as an album my friend! gotta be Purple Rain. I think SOTT tokk everybody a while to get into.

I remember traveling home from the beach oneday in the back of my parents car when i was 9 years old. My older brother had left his walkman on the seat the day previous. I put the head phones in and listened. It was SOTT side A. the 1st 3 songs blew me away - SOTT, Play in the sunshine, Housquake (man, hearing him swear on that track.. i recall turning the volume down so my mother couldnt hear what i was listening to in my head phones..). When i got to dorothy parker, i kept rewinding it to the begining again.. 9 years old.. that song was too much for me to take in (today it is probably one of my favourite tracks). The album as a whole is just too much for a caual listner. i think the background knowledge of this album also makes fans appreciate it more.
