Turns out seven is a lucky number for Betty Tisdale. The director of Seattle-based H.A.L.O. (Helping and Loving Orphans) is off to Minneapolis for Saturday’s concert by the artist currently known as Prince.

His Purpleness is performing a special show ($250 per ticket) to promote his new fragrance — 3121 — and 7 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit seven Prince-picked charities. H.A.L.O., a non-profit dedicated to helping underprivileged children around the world, is one of them.

Tisdale will be a guest of Prince, who is obviously enamored of the number 7 — hence the name of his fragrance (add up the digits) and the scheduling of the show on 7/7/07.
